Q) I don’t feel as much air blowing out my Air Conditioner.

In this case, the blower and coil is probably very dirty and therefore the air flow is restricted.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If the blower fan (drum) is out of balance this would probably be the cause.

A smelly air conditioner is an indication that the aircon unit has been contanimated with build-up of dust, dirt and mouldy (fungal growth). This requires cleaning and treatments.

A clogged up AC with dirt and dust will cut efficiency up to 50%. A regular service can save you up to 30% in energy costs

24 degrees is the temperature at which an air conditioning runs most efficient and economical. Every 1°C lower can increase running costs by up to 15%

It is not recommended to leave your cooling system on however if you do you should ensure that it is regularly maintained and serviced.

A good quality system will last long past its 5 year warranty period, provided it is well maintained.

This depends on the amount of use and the environment. A minimum service every 3 months is recommended.

Legionella is found in the cooling towers of large buildings and can be found in evaporative air conditioners. Legionella is not in refrigerated air conditioners.
